Let’s Talk Tikanga with Dr Ruakere Hond is a new collaboration between He Toronga Pākihi ki Taranaki (Māori Business Network), the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce and Reo Kōrero.
We’re excited about the six kaupapa. There’s a 75% RBP subsidy for eligible businesses, and you can attend online or in person at Toitū House, starting 15 September.
Let’s Talk Tikanga is a six-part monthly online series designed to deepen your understanding and practice of tikanga Māori in business.
Dr Ruakere Hond and the Reo Kōrero team work with businesses of all sizes to grow capability in te ao Māori – reo, tikanga, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and kaupapa Māori.
Learn how to embed reo and tikanga into your workplace, grow staff capability and confidence, build meaningful partnerships, and strengthen organisational culture so your vision, clients, customers, and hapori / community all benefit.
What’s included:
- 75% RBP subsidy(subject to eligibility 👇🏾)
- Monthly 2-hour online sessions (except January 2026, so we all get a summer break)
- Optional in-person attendance at Toitū House (Toi Foundation) Ngāmotu | New Plymouth at no extra cost with refreshments and extra time to kōrero with Ruakere. Spaces are limited so get in quick!
- When: 12–2pm, second Wednesday of each month
- Format: Online (with option to attend in person in Taranaki)
- Access: Recordings available for 3 weeks after each session
- Flexibility: Join anytime – attend all six (recommended) or individual sessions
- Cost with subsidy: From $37.50 per session / $225 full series
- Standard cost: $150 per session / $900 full series
